"Grassville" Station is located approx 180 kms North of Adelaide Via Mt Mary, or 50 km East of Burra
Main access roads are formed and graded which allows for the ease of stock and equipment movement throughout the property
The Property:
Grassville Station incorporates primarily flat to undulating open light timbered country with creeks and gullies and natural water catchment areas.
The country is particularly picturesque and is ideal for stock production.
Vegetation:
The property is predominately open plains consisting of Salt Bush, natural grasses and natural clovers, with a light sprinkling of Black Oak and Sugar Wood trees - flourishing with very good recent rains.
The property has been conservatively managed and the country is in good heart.
Considerable time has been spent in relation to weed eradication, in particular, Onion weed, Boxthorn, Bathurst and Horehound.
Waters:
The watering system is a feature of this property and includes 3 re-cased bores (heavy duty PVC), troughs and new poly tanks. Some 15 dams have been cleaned out during 2004/2005.

Fencing and Yards:
During the previous five seasons Grassville has been carrying out an extensive fencing program to complement the new fencing from the previous ten years.
New fences have been constructed using Weston Fencing. This is fully electric enabling the management of livestock to be done with absolute control.
A mixture of 5 and 6 line (17km) electric has been completed along with 20-30kms of Weston fence electric out rigging which has been added to high grade suspension fencing. It has been completed to enable the management of livestock to be controlled in management zones. All but a small amount of boundary has been either re-fenced or had electric out rigging fitted.
Approximately 20km of 6 and 7 line stock lock has also been added to existing fence on Grassville.
There are out yards, all of which have either been upgraded or rebuilt, grids enabling easy access for management of all regions of the property, numerous holding compounds for portable setup and trapping of livestock, enabling excellent stock handling.
House:
There is a 4 bedroom homestead situated on Grassville. This particular residence is dated and, whilst utilized in part for accommodation, is not of a particularly high quality. It could however be upgraded.
Shed:
A steel framed and galvanized iron clad, four stand shearing shed with Lister motor and steel sheep yards.
DSE:
Grassville has a carrying capacity of approx 6300 DSE. Over a long period Grassville has been running a 3500 Merino ewe flock along with weaner/hoggets. Over the previous 6 seasons Grassville has been changed to a non-shearing Dorper operation running 4000 ewes with a minimum number of following type stock.
Along with this Grassville sells minimal goats annually.
Grassville has had a full capacity of Ewes which is between 3500 and 4000 Ewes.
The operation has been aimed at a Ewe only type program - lambing all year around.
In an average season expected lambing averages are around 120% (as per vendor)
Currently Grassville is stocked with 500 cattle and 3000 trade weaners.
